Brennan Johnson: Europa League Match-Winner for Tottenham, Reflects on Victory Against Manchester United

Despite lucky circumstances, Brennan Johnson goes down in history as Tottenham Hotspur's Europa League final match-winner. Scoring the decisive goal against Manchester United in a 1-0 win in Bilbao, it wasn't just a relief for Johnson and his teammates but fans who've long awaited a glimpse of silverware since 2008.

"I'm so happy right now. This team has not won a trophy for 17 years, it means so much. All the fans get battered, we get battered for not winning a trophy. We had to get the first one. I'm so happy," said a filled with relief and happiness, Brennan Johnson.

The goal was Johnson's 20th of the season, marking his best return in a single campaign and signifying a high point in an otherwise dismal season for Tottenham.

Although finding themselves 17th in the Premier League, Tottenham had an 'unbelievable' Europa League run according to Johnson. The goal scorer thanked the fans for their unwavering support through both victories and defeats and praised his team for staying together and pulling off the unimaginable, "Tottenham, good team but can't get it done', but we got it done."
